Uploading pictures to Facebook is made quite simple with this short guide. Here, you'll see how to upload pictures and photo albums using the new Facebook layout from a computer or mobile device.
Select the Photos you would like to upload. If you've already grouped them in a folder on your hard drive ahead of time, you can select the folder and Facebook will upload all the pictures in it. You can also select them one at a time by clicking "Add More Photos" in the bottom left corner after you've uploaded each one.
Edit the information for the photos. Name the photo album and any information you'd like included on each individual picture. When you're finished, click "Post."
Method 1 of 3: Uploading a New Photo to a Timeline on a Computer
- Log into Facebook. Make sure your photos have been downloaded from your digital camera or camera phone and are on the computer you're logging into.
- Navigate to your Timeline, a friend’s Timeline, or your News Feed. Above the status update bar, there should be the option "Add Photos/Video." Select it.
- Select Upload Photo/Video. Here, you'll have the option to click "Upload Photo/Video" or "Create Photo Album."
- Find the picture file on your hard drive and select it. A finder window should pop up, allowing you to search your hard drive for the photos. Your photo will have to be uploaded to your computer before you can do this step.
- Edit your post. You can add a caption, tag any other people with you, and adjust the privacy settings.
If you choose to, you may add tags to your pictures. Just go to the photo, and select "Tag This Photo" right below your picture. Click somewhere on your picture, choose a person, then click "Tag." Select "Done Tagging" when you are finished.
To add a caption, click the pencil below your photo.
- When you are done editing the photos, select "Post." The photos should immediately be available on your Timeline or your friend's Timeline..!!
Method 2 of 3: Upload a New Photo Album on a Computer
On your Timeline, a friend's Timeline, or your News Feed, select "Create Photo Album" instead of "Upload Photo/Video."Select the Photos you would like to upload. If you've already grouped them in a folder on your hard drive ahead of time, you can select the folder and Facebook will upload all the pictures in it. Method 3 of 3: Uploading Photos From a Mobile Device
- If you don't have the Facebook application, download it. Once you've launched the app, open it and log in to your account.
- Click on the "Photo" tab. Toward the top of the page there should be three options, "Status," "Photo," and "Check In." Clicking on "Photo" will open your photo gallery on your computer.
- Select the photos you'd like to upload. There should be a tiny checkmark in the top corner of each picture. If you want that picture uploaded, click it.
You'll be able to tag the photos, add captions, and select where you'd like the photo uploaded, to your Timeline or a friend's. - Click "Post. " When you've filled out the information you want to be included in the picture, post it to Facebook.
